PAL Cumulative Carbon Price Index (PAL-CCP)

The PAL cumulative carbon curve charts the cumulative or historical cost of carbon year on year since carbon emissions became significant (1775 to 1945). It measures the average historical financial loss and damage attributable to carbon emissions, without the effects of carbon decay or delayed impact. The curve is used to calculate the PAL cumulative carbon price index as follows:
