The Price of Carbon – An Open Letter

Dr. Jim Yong Kim, President, World Bank.

Ms Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund.

Ms Christiana Figueres, Executive Secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Dear Dr Kim, Ms Lagarde and Ms Figueres.

The independent, scientifically robust carbon price that you all call for has been devised.

It is global in extent, founded on loss and damage and guaranteed future-proof.  Individual fuel types – including renewables – are priced and updated minute by minute.  The pricing has been integrated with electricity markets in Europe.

The PAL Carbon pricing app for smartphones is available as a free download right now.

PAL Carbon is driven by a scientifically proven algorithm that accurately predicts disaster and catastrophe losses now and in the future.

With the COP21 deadline in mind, we have worked intensively to launch our proposal for a sustainable solution to a global problem, in time for consideration at this momentous event.

We would like to bring this profound insight to the attention of government and business leaders.  The peer reviewed publications that would otherwise underpin our claims are not sought because of Intellectual Property Rights issues.  But on our website we do publish ‘The Price of Carbon’ – the App and The Book.

All we ask, is for our small voice of reason to be heard – for the sake of the planet.  You have the means and the vision to make the difference.

Thank you.
